On Saturday, June 21st, a day of sunshine, smiles, and cycling excitement marked a milestone for the Evie Dove Foundation's annual event calendar. The Big Bike Ride, proudly sponsored by Craft Bikes, brought together nearly 80 riders from all walks of life, united by a shared purpose – to raise money and awareness for an extraordinary cause.
The weather was nothing short of perfect (albeit a little hot), with clear skies and sunshine to make for an enjoyable day of cycling. Riders from all over the south-east gathered, eager to pedal their way through the Kent countryside, raising funds for the Evie Dove Foundation and celebrating the life-changing work the organisation does.
Craft Bikes: A Partner for a Purpose
Craft Bikes stood as the main sponsor of the event, offering both support and enthusiasm for the cause. Craft Bikes are establishing themselves for their high-quality bikes, and the partnership with the Big Bike Ride was a match made in heaven. The sponsorship wasn’t just about providing the route, logistics and behind the scenes planning —it was about showing up, supporting, and investing in the community. Craft Bikes involvement was a reminder that every pedal stroke was part of something bigger than the ride itself—it was a step toward helping those in need and raising awareness for the foundation’s work.

Nearly 80 Riders: A Show of Solidarity
The Big Bike Ride saw nearly 80 riders, a fantastic turnout that doubled from last year. Each rider, whether participating solo or with friends, was committed to making a difference. Some were experienced cyclists, while others were taking part in their first-ever charity ride. But regardless of experience, the sense of camaraderie was palpable. The event became about collective action—about riding together for a shared goal.

Raising Money for a Meaningful Cause
At the heart of the Big Bike Ride was the Evie Dove Foundation itself. The foundation, which supports families and individuals facing serious health challenges, has been a beacon of hope and support for many. The funds raised through the Big Bike Ride will go directly to sustaining the foundation’s hero's, providing much-needed resources for paediatric healthcare professionals.
Every rider, every donation, and every sponsorship helped contribute to a larger vision—creating a community where those facing adversity know they aren’t alone. The Evie Dove Foundation continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of so many, and the support of the bike ride participants is a testament to the generosity and kindness that fuels its work.
A Day to Remember
The event wasn’t just about cycling; it was about connection. It was about meeting new people, sharing stories, and experiencing the joy of doing something together for a cause that matters. Throughout the day, conversations flowed, laughter filled the air, and many riders formed lasting friendships. As the event came to a close, with the well earned pizza and beers being enjoyed, the sense of achievement was clear on every rider's face. Whether they were crossing the finish line after a challenging ride or simply enjoying the camaraderie of the event, everyone walked away with the knowledge that they had been a part of something truly special.

Looking Ahead
The Big Bike Ride, thanks to the support of Craft Bikes, the dedication of the riders, and the tireless work of the Evie Dove Foundation, was a massive success. Not only did it raise crucial funds for an important cause, but it also created lasting memories for all involved. The Evie Dove Foundation's Big Bike Ride is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the power of coming together to make a difference.
