PRESS RELEASE: Introducing the CANTII

Craft Bikes, the South East UK–based independent titanium frame builder, has announced the launch of its first stock geometry model, the CANTII, marking a significant milestone for the boutique brand in 2026.

Renowned for its elegant, custom-built titanium gravel bikes, Craft Bikes has, until now, operated exclusively in the custom geometry space. The introduction of the CANTII responds to growing demand from riders who admire the brand’s distinctive aesthetic and craftsmanship but prefer the simplicity and accessibility of a standard sizing offering.

The CANTII will be available in three sizes—small, medium, and large—while retaining all the defining features of Craft Bikes’ custom frames. Each frame is still handcrafted one at a time by founder James in his workshop, and incorporates the same premium details, including 3D-printed yoke and dropout components.

Designed as a versatile, single-chainring gravel platform, the CANTII is built to handle everything from long-distance endurance rides to technical singletrack. Key features include generous tyre clearance—up to 55mm in dry conditions or 50mm in wet conditions—alongside a universal brake mount system. This innovative setup allows riders to tailor rotor size to suit their weight and riding style.

Finished in Craft Bikes’ signature brushed titanium, the CANTII offers both durability and ease of refurbishment, allowing frames to be refreshed over time. Customers can choose between two anodised colour schemes: “Coastal,” a two-tone blue inspired by the Kent coastline on a clear day, and “Apatura Iris,” a striking fade from purple to brown, named after the native purple emperor butterfly.

The CANTII will retail at £3,999, with frames produced in small batches. Customers can expect a lead time of approximately 4-6 weeks.

The name “CANTII” pays homage to Kent’s rich heritage. The Cantii were a late Iron Age Celtic tribe who inhabited the region, noted for their advanced society, early use of coinage, and strong connections with mainland Europe.

Looking ahead, Craft Bikes plans to expand its range further, with the launch of the COVET hardtail mountain bike and the CAMBER road bike scheduled for later in 2026 and early 2027 respectively.
